Nortel CCT 6.0: Enabling telephony / TAPI server in Windows 2003 Server

I think (not really sure) NCCT 6 require domain for Windows 2003 Server.
When I install it co-res with CCMS, CCMA in Ms Win 2003 Server workgroup I received error 62791 as stated by Ms KB 895982.

Then I join domain this CC6 Server as a member of Ms Win 2003 Server with domain controller, but I still got error 62795. According that same KB article, this error raised If the Windows Server 2003-based computer is a member of a Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 domain (??)

I guest I don't understand the whole Microsoft Windows 2003 Server, AD, SCP entry, etc.
I will appreciate if anyone here can suggest the how-to or what should I set in Win2003 Server, Win2003 Server domain controller, AD, SCP entry, etc

Thanks in advance

Your configuration is different than my configuration. I have a stand-alone CCMS, a stand-alone CCMA and a stand-alone NCCT. As far as the domain goes, I am having the NCCT join the domain but CCMA & CCMS will be outside the domain. The NCCT does not have to join the domain but at far as the administration of workstations and users, it is a whole lot simpler.

I hope I haven't added to the confusion.

thanks gmejia for your respond. CCMA need join domain to enable CCMA's clients browse "all" including realtime monitoring functionalities, otherwise some monitoring features will not work as expected.

I still don't know why the error point to that the NCCT server join into NT 4.0 domain eventough the domain controller actually is Windows Server 20003. Therefore I stil can not enable the Microsoft Telephony Server. It seems to me it is a very basic problem in Microsoft world

Let me know how you solve your issue. I am very curious as to why you're having the problem as well.

Hi

We have a co-resident CCMA / CCMS here. It is not joined in the domain.
Just add the ip and computer name in the local computer hosts file and it will work.
