Recorded Announcement

I need to record calls for non-ACD staff. If I create a CDN and ACD for each person, how can I get a Call Pilot announcement to play before the agent answers the call? Thanks.

Sounds like you need to get a recorder that you connect right to the TN side of the phone. That way any call will be recorded. Are you using Symposium?

John is correct. We use Telstrat IDVR (now called Call Parrot). The calls are actually recorded at the TN port and therefore don't require the 'phone to be acquired by Symposium.

Recording Calls

Thanks for the responses. I am using a unit from Mercom that connects to the TN side of the sets. My problem - which I didn't explain very well - is that we are required to inform callers that they will be recorded. The problem is that the calls come into DID's. This requires the called employee to inform each caller. I'd like to set something up to automatically play before the call is presented to the employee's DID. The only way I can think of is to make each employee's DID and ACD queue. My problem is that in Symposium, I must be missing something. The calls are coming in without going to the announcement first. I've created a CDN of 3018 which is actually the employee's DID number so I can control the incoming call. They log on with an Agent ID to receive calls. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Why not create an announcement that every caller hears prior to going to the DID number they called. Sort of like a toll free number when you tell Symposium that goes like this:

OPEN VOICE SESSION
PLAY PROMPT VOICE SEGMENT
CallMonitoring_vs */this is the call may be monitored message*/
END VOICE SESSION

IF DNIS = 1234 */you may have to add everyones DID extension to make this work, or maybe someone else has a better idea*/
ROUTE CALL 1234

IF DNIS = 1235
ROUTE CALL 1235

and so on.
