Symposium and Screen Pop's

We are kicking around the idea of using screen pop's when our callers call into our call center. The idea is to have customer enter in their sit ID and then have Clarify pop the CSR's screen with all the info. Then we want to transfer to other agents with the same screen and so on.

Does anyone do anything like this?

We use screen pops on almost every call. Most of them are automatic, triggered by the DNIS info we extract from Symposium Link data stream. Some are generated by a caller calling a generic 800 number and then entering a "PIN". Those also are determined from the data stream. It gets pretty deep pretty fast but I'll try to answer any questions.

It's a custom application brewed up here in our own Unix shop by our gurus.

Also, you may find that support for your 4.0 is getting pretty slim so I wouldn't be surprised if any of the commercial vendors would want you to upgrade.
