Location: Ottawa Rep Power: 7 ![]() | G' Day Folks, Running Symposium 5 and I am unable to view any of the scripts through webclient. I beleive I require a licence to be able to view scripts throught the webclient, which I do not have. Do I also need a licenece to view the scripts through the thick client installed on my laptop. When I try to open it, the window hangs and eventually gives me the (Not Responding). Is this is licencing issue?

Location: Gulf Coast Rep Power: 5 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Symposium 5.0 Server Side and both WebClient/ThickClient have to have the same port policies in your LAN switches. Basically the port policy has to be wide open and allow multi-broadcasting. If your IS Department has a lot of 'security' on their ports - then it will actually block Symposium Cleints files. Webclient has to be setup properly for each PC. 1. You have to be logged in to the PC with Admin Rights*, 2. In your IE ->Tools ->Options -> Advanced tab, you have to turn off "Reuse Windows for Shortcuts". 3. In your IE ->Tools -> Security -> Trusted Sites, You will need to add your SCCS IP to Trusted Sites 4. And finally - you have to login to SCCS WebClient with a an account that allows you full rights to all accounts. * - Note: If your office uses 'Profiles', then you have to give the users 'Profile' admin rights. Location: Ottawa Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Both the web client and thick client work through my lan, but I have no licence for scripting as I did not know I needed one for the thick client. Is it one licience for both clients or do I need 2 licences?
