| Hi All, Just a question to see if there is any recommendation to restart either the Symp App or the actual server on a regular basis for either good house keeping or if it is a Nortel requirement etc... If so, at what sort of intervals??? Thanks for your time guys! | ||||||||

| A restart is part of any normal server maintenance. Symposium is no exception. In the past there were a number of Memory Leakage issues with SCCS and Bill's operating systems. As time went on, server performance dropped and an old fashioned restart was the fix. Some things have improved, and some have remained constant. Tony | ||||||||

Location: Newcastle, UK Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Is there anything in the NTPs about this? We have been chasing Nortel in Europe for a definitive answer on this and have had anything ranging from "You could do" to "I would just leave it until it falls over" as a reply! | ||||||||
