Symposium ELAN link down - 48421 - PBX Info :: Your Free PBX, PABX and Telephone Information Resource

Hi,

Since a few days, The ELAN crash for a few seconds every 8 hours (midnight, 8am and 4pm).
It seems to be transparent to the users.

In Symposium Event Browser there is the error 48421 : Switch link down. (File/Func: .\startshut.cpp/doChangeLinkStatus : line 331)
And in the PBX :
CSA105 17
CSA002 17
ELAN007 ELAN 17 host IP=162.66.179.100 disabled, read from socket fail due to far end disconnect or Ethernet problems.

The disconnect is less than 5 seconds.

The network guys said they saw nothing odd to the network switch.

Any idea what the problem is ? What Symposium is doing every 8 hours ?

Please put the following patch from the nortel site and load in the meridian
it will ok. I had the same problem.

Where do you found this information about the patch, do you have special access to nortel website ?

SCCS: Meridian 1 drops the ELAN to Symposium

Customer is very heavy ACD user. Normal for 400 agents busy and 600 calles in queue. During this condition, 3 or 4 times per day, the M1 drops the ELAN and prints the following series of messages.

Impact of problem When M1 drops the ELAN Symposium looses control and all
queued calls are routed to the default queue overwhelming it and the result is
lost calls.
