ACD EXTENSION Problem - PBX Info :: Your Free PBX, PABX and Telephone Information Resource

I have created an extension and punched down the pad to the jack. The phone extension also has voice mail. The extension recieves internal calls but can not be dialed from outside the building. What is the cause?

do you have DID

have you lifted the h/set of the extn you are calling "is the caller there ?"

look in your IDC table...LD 49

You need to look in your auto attendent or voice mail system to see if the ext. you picked has been allowed in your security functions menu or something of that nature or use a DID NUMBER.
