Vista is SLOW!

Anyone using vista yet? What are your PC Spec? even with a Gig of ram Vista is slow, I think you need 2 Gigs minimum in order for this thing to boot faster then 5 minutes....

What are your experiences?

Someone here installed it on a brand new 2.4Ghz dual processor machine with 2Gb memory, he didn't keep it on for long as for what the machine should have been capable of it did seem slow. He then put XP on it and the expected performance was there, we just weren't sure whether it was just our Vista Beta version.

I was looking to upgrade in the next few months, think I'll stick to either XP or 2000 with Vista being so hungry.

Just got my new PC Yesterday and Vista Business Edition runs very well..

Intel Duo Core 2 2.4Ghz 4mb Cache
Asus P5N32-E SLI Motherboard
2 Gigs of ram

Vista gives me a PC Rating of 5.3... which is based on the lowest score, most of the individual values are 5.9

I just got my new Dell with Vista and it's running pretty darn good. Still test driving it. I haven't had a chance to really put the screws to it yet.
