I have a friend doing technology work (Computers/network) for a local school system who asked me to connect a phone on a Comdial DVX system with an Impact model phone. I have been a phoneman for 30 years, but the last Comdial phone I worked on had a 25 pair amphenol. I crosswired to a free port, and the phone works. When you go off hook it shows "Extension", and "Code". There is not a 4 digit extension, and 2 digit code showing like all the other phones, just code "27". The phone dials out fine, but can't be called. How does one assign a 4 digit extension? The nearest Comdial vendor wants $500 just to show up. Like all public school systems today they have no money so any help would be greatly appreciated.

In a word no. To be honest I also have not heard from the friend I was helping, so maybe he got it fixed.
