Location: Indiana Rep Power: 0 ![]() | On a comdial DX-80, can you add a voicemail box without adding another physical extension? My background is in Nortel but I have a friend with this Comdial and she needs to add voicemail boxes but does not really want to add more physical extensions. I tried adding an extension and also changing the port type to VM, but that didn't work. Can anyone please lead me in the right direction to help her out?

You'd have to use the voice mail admin software or use teleparameters through a supervisor box to add boxes. The DX80 mail comes up default with around 40 boxes so the box is probably there. Yes you can change names via set programming...all programming for the phone system can be done via key set or laptop.
