Hello, Having a problem with a DXP Plus 15A172 software. The serial connection between the DXP and the Interchange quit working. The "VMail" display above the softkey disappeared as well. No message waiting lights either. I tested the serial port on the phone system and was able to make program changes so I believe the serial port is OK.
We are testing the COM port on the PC today. My question is this, is there a programming function that needs to be done in VMMI to get what I call "visual voice mail" to work on the DXP Plus? I looked all over in the database program and cannot find a place to turn that on. Or does it just work when the DXP serial connection to the PC is good? I know on the DSU's there was a place to turn on "visual voice mail" and the "vmail" would just show up on the telephone displays. Thanks!

Nothing need to be programmed in VMMI other than baud rate match per port. Looks like you have a serial port issue on the voicemail or link in between.

Thanks! That is what I thought but just wanted to double check. Had a password issue so we have not yet been able to try Com 2 on the PC. Hopefully we will get resolved soon. Thanks Again!!
