Location: Northern VA Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Restoring Voicemail from scratch - Help needed My voicemail computer crashed, yeah. Called my vendor and requested a service call to reload software. Their response " Oh no, we can not do that. You do not own that software, so you will need to buy a new or replacement system. It only cost $2k for the DOS version, and 3.5K for the windows version. Which one would you like?" I said, " No Thank-you" with several other remarks, but we will not go there. I decided to crack the case on the pc and lo and behold, I found my recovery software. Woo Hoo. So now I have spent the day, restoring and trying to setup this lovely voicemail system. I have it done except a few items. I am hoping someone will have pity on me, so I do not have to go back to my considerate vendor in waiting. Phone system: Comdial DSU II Voicemail system: Key Voice Problems: 1. I can not transfer to extension from voicemail. I am assuming it is the PBX sequence in the call transfer. They are currently set to !, for internal and !,,9 for external. 2. Reception/operator box is 70 and or 888? I can not access this box, but I "see" the messages in the message status program. How can I access them? 3. I want my Reception/operator to be ext. 22 at port 22 can this be done? or does it have to be the extension on port 10? We do not have or need a receptionist, so we have an employee that picks up the operator messages and routes them accordingly. Any help would be appreciated, I would hate, and I mean hate to go to that vendor and give him any business. Thanks!

Location: NW Ohio Rep Power: 4 ![]() | I hear ya. You don't have to own the software, because you have the key and "owning the software" won't do you any good if you lose the key What version of Key Voice do you have, and where are you located? The receptionist is put in in some menu, IIRC it is a drop to DOS and edit an ini or some other textfile. If I get time on Friday, I'll take a look at the KeyVoice setup files. Carl
