Iprimo Setup

Our office purchased 3 Comdial Iprimo phones about 6 months ago. The local phone vendor we purchased it from has been worthless, they sold us a system that they do not know how to setup. While I am not very familiar with phone systems I understand networks very well.

This phone has been impossible to setup for some unknown reason. Everything is confirmed to be setup in our office properly as one phone did work briefly. However, trying to set these phones up after that hasn't worked. I cannot find any type of manual for this thing and the error messages i'm getting seem somewhat vague.

The phone cannot connect, it runs the connection test and I get
Phone passed
Gateway failed
FX Failed.

I don't understand how it can be failing to connect to the gateway. All the network settings are 100% correct. I know their is no issue with the router or the network cable. It seems to me like it would be relatively simple to connect to the gateway, just ip, subnet and gateway. I can understand having a problem connecting to the actual phone system if the firewall's were not configured properly but I cannot for the life of me figure out why it cannot connect to the gateway. I have even tried disconnecting the router completely and having the phone running directly through my DSL Modem.

Any anyone provide more details on these errors? The three appropriate ports are open on my fire wall (one tcp, two udp). I can telnet to all the appropriate ports in our office as well. But I keep getting the exact same errors mentioned above.

Were hoping to take these to our office in India next week so I"ve got my boss down my throat

Thank you in advance.

Do the Iprimos work on your internal network? Also if your ISP is blocking pings you won't connect externally.
