We have a client with an older DX-80 that we added a 4 port (7271C) V-mail to last week. The V-mail was working ok for the first couple of days and then the ports would not go back to an idle status. We defaulted the switch, upgraded the chips to A40 turned on the system and let it run for about 5 minutes. Turned off the system, installed the V-mail and then bought the system back up. We programmed CO line answer position (4 lines) for 433-all programming was done via telephone-. We are getting the same problem again where the ports are not going back to idle. When we were on site we called into the system repeatedly &
simultaneously without any problems. Within 48 hours the ports have locked up again. It seems that the CO lines are ok-when you call in now the lines ring untill the caller hangs up. I suspect user error but am open to any suggestions. Is there anything the end user may be doing that would cause this?
