RE: Found a good review of Cisco

Has anyone integrated a Mitel 6510 UM system with a CallManager implementation? Is SMDI the only way to go in this case?

CallManager and Mitel 6510 Integration.

I should also note that the Mitel has 32 ports with 4 free and it is currently hooked into a legacy PBX via SMDI.

G'd EH!

You are correct. SMDI to Callmanager is currently the only integration available. Although this may seem aged and unintelligent, it is actually quite formidable.

Esna Technologies (esnatech) are the manufacturers for this all inclusive message server. Switch Integration Matrix. From here you can review there site as well.

PDF SMDI integration with Callmanager NOTE.

Hopin' this helps,

That doc was ok, but I am more looking for a way to do a dual SMDI integration with the 6510. It is already hooked to an old legacy system using SMDI and I would like to hook in with a Cisco CM at the same time.

Any thoughts? I hear a new version of the 6510 will handle dual SMDI, but I have no idea how or if we would need new hardware or software.

Figured it out. Use VG248 as an SMDI replication to the PBX. So put it in line between the PBX and the VMAIL. This will allow the new IP System to also sned/rec the SMDI info.
