Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Migrating Inter-tel Axxess PBX to Cisco (This question has also been posted on the Inter-tel forum) I'm migrating an inter-tel axxess PBX V6.009 to cisco voip. I have the two system talking to each other over a trunk configured with NI2 . Everything is working for the most part except that I am not getting caller ID info passed from inter-tel to cisco. The Cisco gateway is an AS5350. The inter-tel phones are setup to call forward all to the tie-trunk The call path is PSTN-> Inter-tel -> phone -> Trunk -> AS5350 -> Callmanager. When the Inter-tel phones are getting the call (no forward), the Caller ID is displayed properly on the LCD. When the call is forwarded , the Caller ID doesn't show up on the AS5350. Any idea what to look for? I have exhausted all my ideas and settings I could play with. Thanks PS: I tried to use private networking with QSIG but I had even more issues so I reverted to NI2 Apr 26 17:05:33 PDT: ISDN Se3/0:23 Q931: RX <- SETUP pd = 8 callref = 0x0001 Bearer Capability i = 0x8090A2 Standard = CCITT Transfer Capability = Speech Transfer Mode = Circuit Transfer Rate = 64 kbit/s Channel ID i = 0xA98397 Exclusive, Channel 23 Called Party Number i = 0xA1, '7661' Plan:ISDN, Type:National Apr 26 17:05:33 PDT: ISDN Se3/0:23 Q931: TX -> CALL_PROC pd = 8 callref = 0x8001 Channel ID i = 0xA98397 Exclusive, Channel 23 Apr 26 17:05:33 PDT: ISDN Se3/0:23 Q931: TX -> ALERTING pd = 8 callref = 0x8001 Progress Ind i = 0x8188 - In-band info or appropriate now available

Verify that it gets to the AS by running "debug isdn q931" then placing a call. If you don't see the info there, then it's not getting to the router. If you see it there, but not on the phone, then look to see if the Callmanager is set to pass the info from the gateway pages. Also, if you are using H323, then the CM config will be less usefull. MGCP will help if it's supported on your IOS code level.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | It is not showing on the AS5350 and the phone. The debug isdn q931 doesn't show any caller ID being passed. I tried setting up a MGCP gateway with a 2811 router but got same result. For some reason, inter-tel is not passing the info and I don't know enough about that system to find out why.

I can tell you that setting it up with MGCP will let you use the Traces on the CM as well as the TRACE Analyzer tool. Personally I would stick with the 2811 and MGCP. But I've never been a big fan of H323 and the IOS debugs. I like my traces.
