Location: Queensland Rep Power: 0 ![]() | ISDN Problems Hi all, Just cut over from PSTN to ISDN for serveral reasons and I now have the following questions. Firstly, I am in Australia, Telstra have supplied 3 NT units "NT1"s, one for each PSTN line I converted. The problems I face now: - Do I use S or T links (in regards to the DIP switches on the MFU and the radio buttons selecting T Q or S in BMS) - Incoming callers either get a busy tone straight away or a "number not connected message" - Is the ISDN equipment connected on a S-bus or directly into the NT? If I press 700, it calls out on Number 1, If I press 701, it calls out in Number 1. How can this be configured for 700 - prime ISDN number 1, 701 - aux ISDN number 1, 702 - prime ISDN number 2, 703 - aux ISDN number 2 etc...

Location: Queensland Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Thanks for that. What about programming the ISDN trunks? I have not touched anything apart from 1034 Public dialtone to extension and assigning the traffic groups. Is there anything I need to allow the system to accept 'incoming' calls as I can dial out on all lines 100% OK. Answering position is set to designated extensions. Interface type is set as T and all the rest is defaults. In other words, am I able to grab some help in interfacing these trunks? As I said above, I can call out on all of them, but no one can call in. Last edited by baldwb : 03-21-2008 at 10:08 AM.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | ISDN On-ramp2 usually is T interface (unless you ordered S interface) therefore no changes is necessary on BTU-B or MFU card. Check in your order, have you ordered point-to-point ISDN interface (Telstra default is point-to-multipoint). With this second Telstra settings you will have a lot of problems. To make this to work on incomming calls, set commands 1925-1929 on new links to 8 (strip all 8 digits). Then, on each individual trunks on command 1802 insert any spare 2 digit number and enter same number on command 1802 to make this common number for this line. Set your answering position with commands 1101,1103 (day) and 1102,1104 (night).
