Cool Litherature.

Hello!

Can someone point me to good litherature about BusinessPhone 50/250? All I have now is a manual for Release 13, but this manual describes each function, but does not answers to more common questions, like how-to configure MOH, or how to connect 2 PBXes via S0 ports. I'm looking now something like "BusinessPhone for dummies" book or something like this. Please share your expirience, if you saw any good book.

Thanks.

Hi gosha,
I never heard a book for that, just refer to the manual and that will solve it. Is that manual a hardcopy or a softcopy? get back you on the configs, gonna check it.

Hello Zoran,

This guy needs help.

Regards,
Sepay

It's very hard to answer my questions because my knowledge is very small. Now I have a 2 tasks and I even don't know where to start

1. I have a E1 from provider and 50 number, I have BP with CPU-D4, BTU-D, ELU-D (32), ELU-A 16. I can configure extensions, PBX groups I need but absolutley don't know what to do to configure the trunk.

2. And second question is for BTU-B card, I have Cisco VoIP gateway and I want to connect it to PSN via my BP250 with BTU-B. And again, I even don't know where to start.

Hi, you're in Pitcairn Island correct? So you buy from Australia or New Zealand?

I've worked in both countries and know people at Ericsson in both countries and they provide great technical training and support. It sounds like you really need a in depth training course over a few days to go over how to configure the system. As long as your general knowledge of telephony/PBXs is pretty good then it won't take long to pick up.

What you're wanting to know will take a bit more than a few paragraphs in a forum.

I'm from Estonia
Its ery far away from Australia & New Zeland and even from Pitcairn Island (I really don't know where it is)

The main problem is I absolutley have no time to learn it in the right way.

Sorry, I was looking at the Country details of the person who posted below you!

Regardless, Ericsson in Europe should be able to provide some technical training courses. It sounds like if you're going to be doing a lot of work on the system then a couple of days in a course would help you a lot.

I agree with above posts...you reall need to attend some technical courses for BP programming. in meantime, if you using RASC to program BP, find FACILITY LIST option on screen (just under Operational data) or if you using BMS, once connected to the system, click on system name and find option "Programing assistant".
Select what you want to program and "wizard" will guide you thru commands which need to be changed to make that function to work.
Regarding connecting BTU-B with Cisco using S0,it's not simple...you have to uninstall existing BTU-B card, set the switches on card and install that card again. Only after that you can define S0 ports in system programming and connect to Cisco...without proper trainning you can only cause system damage.

Regards

Zoran
