Question Interfacing with a Ericsson pbx

Hello,
We have been given a task to write program for a call center that uses an ericsson pabx system.

Been new in this area, I would be greatful if someone can direct me on where to look for info and how best to interface with a pabx and how to move data from it.

Thanks

Hi coolmanlg,

what kind of ericsson pabx are you going to program? for call center, you will do ACD programming. Give me more details about what pabx you are using, what boards are installed and what configuration do you need, and if you are using CCM or CCS applications for call centers, pls state the version.

Cool

Hello

I'm sorry to interfere in another thread, but I also have the task to write some program to retrieve information from a pbx erisson system.

In my case, the system is a Ericsson pb-250 and that's all I know at this moment.

Any advice?

Thank you in advance

To retreive ACD data from BP250 you will need Call Centre Supervisor (CCS) program istalled, version 3 or 4. Program use proprietary protocol to communicate with the system. It's been protected with hardware key (dongle).
Your task won't be easy at all if you want to retreive "real" and "live" ACD data. Some informations can be retreived from normal CIL informations (used with call accounting software) which can be retreived with eg. hyperterminal.
I whish you Good luck...

Well, thank you for your reply

My boss needs to know exactly when a call is received, and then trigger some action automatically. So, the only information is some "alert" when a call has been received.

Greetings

Maybe you can use Businesslink informations (CTI Tapi) to read events in a system. Once acivated, Tapi stream will give to you all info about phone and trunk activity which you can interface into your application.
Send me your email and I can send to you some documentations about integrations with 3rd party apps.
