Location: Brisbane Rep Power: 0 ![]() | RASC for BP250 hello All, I have downloaded 4 RASC zip files from Ericsson site (satel.com) but after I load the 4 floppy disks converted from 4 zip files...... MS DOS won't start and screen dialog says program error. Does RASC need to be connected to the switch to start MS DOS, I'm guessing not. Any tips would be appreciated. Does anyone have a working RASC I can get a copy of (country Australia). thanks much KeithO

Location: Brisbane Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Rasc hello Sepay, Thank you for your reply, it's appreciated. The OS is WIN 98. The version of RASC is R13E. I downloaded four zippedfiles and then I unzipped each one to a floppy disks and then loaded the program. After loading disk 1 the program asked for disk 2, 3 and 4 to be loaded and finally disk 1 again, no errors appeared. When I launch the program the RASC error in MS DOS is: Program error: ID=16. Code =14 file not found. There appears to be no KUND folder????? I can email the four files if you wish. thanks for your interest. Keith

Rep Power: 3 ![]() | Hi keith, well it seems that the os is ok, I have encountered that before, the next thing I did is install it on another drive or try running the repair tool from the win 98 cd, the OS may be corrupted or generates or make conflicts witht the file. Could you send me a copy. may email is jin.unicha@gmail.com. Let me test the file, if this doesn't work, I'll ____ u copy.

Location: AUs Rep Power: 4 ![]() | we use different software to connect to the BP250 systems. ericsson business management software. it uses a SQL database and a java based program to talk back to the BP250 systems via ethernet. I have RASC somewhere i will zip it up and send. RASC needs to be forced to run in MSDOS mode if running via XP. Right mouse on properties and force it to run in either win95 compatibity mode or DOS.

Location: Brisbane Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Rasc VViper, Thanks for the reply and offer to send RASC. I have the latest copy of RASC I think there is some sort of OS incompatibility. When I start the program the DOS window dialogue is: Program error:ID=16. Code =14 file not found: if you have any tips, all appreciated. I tried your tip. I'm running WIN 98. I hear XP has to be SP2 to run RASC. Apparently BMS only runs from R13 onwards? thanks for your reply anyway. Keith

Location: AUs Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Rasc I think your error has to do with directory structure. Be sure to stick it in a directory on C:\RASC Sometimes if it is not it gives the error you describe. Also have you tried, loading in MSDOS Prompt before windows loads? to see whether it is a windows problem. Just make a little bat and config.sys file that loads up himem.sys
