Software to program Teltronics SEB (Site Event Buffer)

I have a customer who intermitently receives a call that cannot be transfered. They also get a message on the display that reads "out of Service" when they hit certain lines to make an outgoing call. Very intermitent but irritating. If the system is rebooted the trouble goes away for up to a month and then returns. Some of the event messges recieved durring the time frames when they are having trouble is the following.

EVT995-00090069 S3 Repeat 58 times (this EVT seems to happen each dayt hey have trouble)

EVT629-02210009

Does anyone have any Ideas?

Thanks

Change the trunk card, this is probably the problem.

I have a system with the same thing. I have changed everything from trunk cards to the fiber combo card and even replace both Cat5 cables from the smart jacks. There are 2 bulletins somewhat ablut this, ITAS SRN 024 and 026. Bassically, Itas has told me that 5.0 is too sensitive to frame errors. But they have not recomended changing the software yet. I have had a t-berd on this, but it had to be removed for some testing in the CO 2DAYS before it happened again. I have a ticket open at this time with ITAS, so will post back when I here something from them.

I also get all kinds of event codes, but most are not in the book, and ITAS says they are mostly for the software engineers. (B______T! This has been going on now fro over a year, and it happen every 1.5 to 2 months like clock work. The operators say they know when it is about to happen, as the system seems to get sluggish and just as you said, it doesn't want to trn calls and such.

Almost forgot, this is a system that was upgraded from Rel1 to 5.0, and we took out 5 12X0 trunk modules and replace all with 2 pri ckts. Is yours a system that was upgraded?

Talk about a Telecom Problem!!!!

About 2 years ago I worked on a site with the same issues. Three things I discovered:
1) The CO had changed the order of asending to decending which caused a conflict in the system. After a period of time, the "counters" in the switch which control call flow caused the system to start failing.
2) There was an issue at the CO where they were using a different interface pack which managed the copper to the digital. I believe it had to do with the CO packs and the way the switch saw the calls.
3) I removed all the call logs (CID) from the stations and re-allocated them reducing the total number of stations allowed to store their logs.

The problem resolved itself. I hope this helps!

Jessica, thanks for the info. We have verified that on our situation that the CO is ascending, and the MICS is decending. It is also our CO, a Santera 1 switch. Email from ITAS today, they are bumping it up to level 2. This is the only MICS I have with 2 pri's. We have several other pri's out of the Santera going to NEC's, Avaya's, Altigen's Op11's etc, and this is the only site causing trouble.
