I have a Norstar MICS wiyh 4.0 software that is expierencing Conference trouble. Norstar user make a T1 call to the first party, audio is fine! User then presses Conf. button, makes second call and gets other party on line.
When 2nd party is added on, the first party can hear the Norstar user and the 2nd party but 2nd party cannot hear the first party that was added on.

The first senario had 2 T1 calls and a Norstar user.I then tried an incomming PRI call, had the user make call to same party and got the same results!
Replacing the T1 pack and or services cartridge is a thought ,but I thought I might inquire on this forum for ideas!
Thanks for the input!

We have the same problem with a MICS 4.0. We have to reboot it about once a year to resolve, or you can upgrade the SW.

A work around that I've used for customers with this problem is when having a conf call, have one of the outside partys call the norstar, then have the norstar join the third party. The volume will then be normal. A pain I know but better than nothing if you don't want to upgrade s/w.

Sorry, but upgrading the KSU software is the only resolution I've heard of.

FUCINA, good idea on your suggested way of getting around this problem without upgrading the software. It sounds like a good way to solve the problem until an upgrade can be done.
