hello, over the other side of the pond.

Can anyone tell me how long the BCM - Analogue Station Module has been available over in the US, as here in dear old blighty it's still not available.
Nortel keep promising, but the dates keep moving and moving, I believe there having software problems, but they keep saying it's been tested for the UK market...

I think it works fully on 3.6 software, but can be used partially on
3.5 and 3.0.

If anyone has any info, I would be grateful..

P.S. your boys are gonna get One hell of a beating in the GOLF

I have a couple of 3.0's with ASM's, been in service now for approx a year. Nortel says the new ASM will have CLID to an analog set.

I'll answer my own post for anyone who might care to know.

Me: "Has there been any talk about ATAs passing caller ID ?"

ITAS: "That's a definite no on that one".

The new ASM/8 for the BCM is going to pass CLID! This is per the pre release notes on the Nortel site.

I was wondering about the MWI... what ATA/ASMs with what ICS versions support MWI on analog stations? I know for a fact the ATA1 doesn't support any of that, what about ATA2's and 0X8A ASMs?

ATA2's will provide stuttered dial tone as a MWI. The 0X8 wi MWI will turn on a msg lite on an analog set. I have used both with and without a msg lite and they work just fine. I have also noticed that when connected to a MICS with a PRI, you can typically get a connection speed of approx 52 to 56k on a dial up.
