Sometimes an Idiot really is an idiot!

Man we ran into a strange problem.

PRI with 8 trunks going into a MICS with 6.1 S/W. All trunking configurations match and are correct.

Here is the problem.

Calls come into the office just fine, but Outside callers do not hear any ring back. Take the trunk out of the MICS and call the number from a cell phone and you hear ring back. Put it back into the MICS and no ring back.

Really Strange any one else had this problem>

sounds like a bad trunk card or DTI card....have you tried changing them out with others or just the testing you've done so far?

10 digit forced dialing? Anyone know of other areas?

Its not the T1 card. Anyone know of a patch for 6.1 SW?

Just curious... Is the PRI going through any kind of CSU/ DSU before it hits your switch? If so, does that device provide the Norstar with a D-channel?

MM Name Dialing

Oh, and I forgot to ask to make sure the 15 B-channels you're not using are de-provisioned.

was this occuring from the get go. Or did it just start happening?

Are you using 6.1 or 6.1MR

MR was a release addressing many issues on the PRI

2616 as console phone

I beleive we are going to have to go the 6.1 MR isssue to get this rectified.

6.1 seems to have too many PRI issues

Yes there is a maint rel. Is your DTI card on the core, or an 0x12 mod? PM me and I will send you a copy of the bulletin.
