new guy on line help
have a 2 port startalk flash(used). it tested ok and connected a laptop to it to check the program. to clear out the old setup (messages greetings etc used the "resetting Flash feature. I then tried to initialize the system and cannot get in thru the phone Feature 983 says inactive feature. F985 wont work. If i dial the ext direct sysmgr mailbox/ password wont work(F985 comes up inactive for reset) in hyperterm the system seams to be booting up and asks for a password I used the one for loggin in thru the term but it only displays "Nortel Norstar Flash configuration in progress. Please wait." then asks for password. anyhelp? and of course it is always needed asap! ha tks

thks for info I got me farther F983 brings up password request but the default didn't work thru the phone. any other hints

use the standard voicemail configuration password.

Should be the default installer password of your Norstar Cabinet.

i believe you can reboot it again...i bet f983 says "pswd" and f981 says "log", you need to reboot the system again and then wait about 15mins for it to come back up...
