Location: Houghton, NY Rep Power: 7 ![]() | RE: System is running 30ARF07 and is an 8x32 MICS. Lines 1-4 are on a CLID Trunk card Lines 5-8 on standard trunk card. Standard analog trunks from CO. Business is only using Lines 1 and 2. 3-8 reserved for expansion. Both lines 1 and 2 have the following configuration: Trunk type:Loop Line Type: Pool A Dial Mode: Tone PrimeSet: 221 CLID Set: 221 Auto Privacy: Yes Trunk Mode: Super Ans Mode: Manual Link at CO: N Line Grp: None Aux Ringer: N Full Auto Hold:N Loss Pkg: MediumCO Lines do not receive any CLID info. CO states the Caller ID is turned on and the business has been getting billed for it. When using Feature 811 I get the name of the line and the 1st Softkey says EXIT. If I do F812 I get Log Empty. Any Ideas? Thanks, Jes

I did createa log space for 221 which is the CLID set. Did I miss something? I will take a analog phone w/CID next time I go to the site. Thanks, Jes

Location: Meechigan Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Along the lines of checking to see if the CO is really sending caller-id, I thought I'd throw this out there, because I hadn't seen this mentioned in any posts on this subject. My apologies if this is already known by everyone. Although this is "quick 'n dirty", I've found it to be reliable, and have yet to run across a situation where this "test" was later proved wrong. Put your butt-set on the line in "monitor". Call the number. You'll hear the first ring (bdrbdrrrrr (ok, you tell me how to spell it)), then, if the CO IS sending caller ID, you'll hear a 1 second or so "shhhhhhhh", kind of a "modem-y" sound (obviously not ringing current), then you'll hear the second ring. The "shhhhh" sound is the caller ID data packet. As I said, even though this does not "prove" everything is perfect, it's a reliable quick test to see if the CO is full of beans or not. Hope this was helpfull

Location: Houghton, NY Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Thanks for the insight. I am going to try and hook a caller ID directly to the line (disconnect from the Norstar Trunk) and see if it display. I will also take a look at the Telco stuff under Term and Set. Thanks for the added advise Phonegirl, I think I already have them all set to log calls. Thanks, Jes

Location: Northern Virginia Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Simple fix.. You have the wrong CARD programmed for CLID.. The CARD to your right on an 0X32 is CARD 0 and the one to the LEFT is CARD 1. Simple mistake.. Just assign CLID on card 0 and your set.. To make it all easy set the CLID to all LINES even the ones that are non caller ID.
