Quick question. I have a customer that has a 6 channel upgrade he would like to install into his 4 channel NAM II. I have told him this will require a hardware upgrade to the NAM since we are exceeding 8 channels. He then informs me that he has been told it will work, but the last 2 channels wouldn't be active or available until the upgrade was performed. (I love dealing with IT guys...LOL)

Anyway, I've never actually tried to "rig" one in this fashion- has anyone here tried it? What happened if you did?

Is this ? hard
If you did a floppy save of the customer database and encrypted keycode files, could you not restore to them if the nam crashed because the hardware wasnt there?

can't dial 866....hmmm...
The MSBIC is just a PCMCIA card that goes into one of the slots inside the fiber NAM. If they have these slots available, you just need the cards.

The MSBIC cards can be had off eBay occasionally, i bought one for my NAM (so i could try speech rec) for a VERY reasonable 50$ usd... I think the seller has 2 more...
