I am new to the forum and have read the manuals and reviewed the cd's (may not have understood completely ) but I tried. We have a Nortel 6.0 MICS, Norstar CallPilot 150 Rel 1.5. When it was installed last year, our T1 was not operational yet and the programmer did not have internet access. We have never used the Call Pilot Manager feature and I am now trying to figure out how to program/install this feature. From the manuals I have, they all begin with point your browser to http:// (ip address):6800...
from what I have read on the forum, it appears that a static non published ip address is best. We have a Netopia 5700 (DHCP enabled) router for our T1 and have 7 static lines available. Our server uses the Windows 2003 Small Business Server operating system. I have installed the software on a desktop, should I also install on server? Then how do I "reach" the Call Pilot to complete the program/install?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

First - You do not need to install anything to make this work.

You need to use a cross over cable to communicate directly to the Call Pilot. Make sure your laptop or PC is set with an IP address of 192.168.110.11, this will not conflict with the default IP on the Call Pilot.

Use your browser to access the Call Pilot by typing the default IP address of the Call Pilot in the address bar.
Once you have acessed the Call Pilot, you can change the IP address/Subnet mask on the call Pilot to whatever you need to, to access it from the network. After changing the IP etc... on the Call Pilot -remove your laptop or PC and plug the Call Pilot into the network. You should be able to access the Call Pilot from any PC on the network using your browser and typing in the newly assigned IP address.
