Need Help "How do I extend voice mail length" for Meridan Ma

Ok first of all I have done this dozens of times...Receiving a call, key in feature 986 to transfer a call to voicemail boxbut error message: NO PARTY CONNECT displays. The strange thing is that this is only happening on a couple of sets. Everybody else can do it. The system has been in for a year without problem..ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE????

Let me know if you need more info,

THANKS

Seen this before. Try swapping the affected phone with a working one. I think the problem is the key pad does not sen the correct info for Norstar to translate. Possibly a year with a heavy finger? If the swapped phone works you know it isn't the port.

NRU connecting to MICS??

i hate to say user error....but sounds to me like these users are putting the caller on hold first then hitting F9896...

thats why you are getting that message..

tell them while talking to the party to hit F986 it activates hold automatically..

home wiring - Star or not start

I have also seen people press The transfer button, then hit the Transfer to voicemail or F986. Also, make sure the user has enough intercom buttons. At least one is required to transfer an incoming line. Two is required to transfer an internal intercom.
