Does anyone know how to configure Caller ID on one of the older C6 (for 6x16) or M8 (for 8x24) Caller ID CII boxes? I've got a C6 connected on a DR5 6x16, and have proven that the phone company is delivering Caller ID, but we're not seeing it on the Norstar sets.

The Installation Guide for the C6 only says to bridge tap the CO lines before they enter the KSU and share them into the C6 unit, but it doesn't mention anything about how to configure Caller ID once the C6 unit is installed.

I've made sure the customer waits 2 rings for the Caller ID info to be presented; have made the C6 unit's extension (35) the Auto Info set for Call Services on lines 1 and 2. However, while receiving the call, or while active on the call, pressing Feature 811 to display Caller ID information yields nothing other than Line 01/Line 02 that the call came in on.

Anyone have any experience with these?

Jim

Jimbo,
(Modular DR5 sys coord guide, pg 59) "Automatic Call Information
allows you to specify which telephone displays the Call Display information when a call is ringing on an external line. (After the call is answered, Call Display information is always shown at the telephone that answered the call.)............In order for a telephone to display the Call Display information for calls on an external line, that telephone must also be programmed to ring for that line."
The auto call info set should be the operator, not the C6 extension, and make sure the lines ring on that phone.
See if that gets ya anywhere.
