Don't know what happened but my post question disappered from when I hit Submit. What happens is I removed the fwd no answer from the Recp phone but calls still go to voicemail after 4th ring. When I have the forward no answer on the Recp phone I want it to go to hunt group 1, which has 2 phones in it but it still goes to voicemail.
Any help please

Thanks William

I have done all of the following but calls still go to voice mail on a forward no answer. I can't get to go to the hunt group.

System programming - Show
Hunt Groups - Show
Show group: - Next
HG01:707 - Show (707 is the hunt group ext number. On CICS systems it would be 290)
Member DNs - In your display an ADD button comes up. Press ADD
M001: ___ - enter the first extension number you want to be part of the hunt group
M001:223 - Show
Appr&Ring - Setting the ext to have the hunt group appear and ring on it will automatically assign a certain button on the phone. Setting it to Ring Only will make the hunt group calls come in on intercom keys.
Hit Show again to get it back to
M001: 223 - Press the ADD button again to continue to add members to the hunt group.
Hit the Header button
Member DNs - Next
Line assignment - Show if you want to assign lines directly to the hunt group. Next to go on.....
Mode: Broadcast - This will make the incoming calls ring all the members ring simultaneously. Rotary and sequential doles the calls out one set at a time. Press Next.
If busy: Queue - Meaning that if everyone is busy, the call will be held in a que until the timer times out and it will try again. The caller will only hear ringing though. Press Next
Q timeout: 45. - Next. This is how long in seconds the call will remain in que before trying to distribute the call again.
Overflow: ___ - Enter the extension number you want the call to overflow to when everyone is busy and the que has expired etc.
Name: HG01 - You can name the hunt group whatever you want.

Re: What lesson have we learned here?

are the calls going to the receptionist vmbox after 4 rings or are they going to the AutoAttendant after the 4th ring?? if so, then you need to change her FNA settings to point to the hunt group DN after 3 rings otherwise the AA will continue to pick the calls up.

DN 221 Forward no answer to 707

707 is hunt group 1

Members 234 and 237

Recp doesn't have a mailbox they get the main greeting and it transfers on the 4th ring.

Calls are going to general mail box on the 4th ring. I tried making forward busy to 707 and that works the way it should, the call rinds at ext 234 and 237, i just make it fna to 234 and 237.

Sorry, jumped in a little late on this thread, but.....

Have you checked to see if the calls are programmed to be answered by the Auto Attendant (F983, AA, Lines)?? Also check to see if the PRIME set for the lines is set to the VM DN.. If so, change that to the receptionist DN...

Don't know anything about fna to hunt groups. But if you can't get that to work you could fna to one of the extensions and have the other extensions as an answer dn.
