Have a fax on I-ATA DN237. Callpilot Fax extention set to 237. Some fax calls get routed perfect while others are routed as no response. Seem like it depends on the type of fax used in sending???? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I suspect CP dectects CNG and routes to specified ext. However a small percentage of older faxes do not transmit this tone. Perhaps this is your problem.

Thanks for the help. Would a fax switch detect the older faxes? If so, would the it work routing the CICS after the switch?

no, a switch detects cng also. you might want to order distinctive ringing on one of your lines, use a distinctive ring device, unless CP has that built in, and route your fax calls that way. Most carrier charge and extra 5$ per month, plus give you a seperate number.
