Location: SC Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Scenario: MICS w/ 6.1XC w/ (2) enabled PRI's Question: If the primary PRI was to fail (from the TELCO end) would the secondary PRI automatically take over? In other words, the users currently dial "9" to get an outside line, but if the Primary PRI were to fail would they still be able to dial out this way? I've heard that this is true but I think that there is something in programming that needs to be "turned on" or set up to make this work. Can anyone offer any kind of input on this?

Location: Austin, Texas Rep Power: 6 ![]() | You have also to tell the Telco that the 2nd PRI to set it up as extended from the first one. But I have a problem understanding how one can work without the other one that has the D channel. If the one with the D channel goes down...Your down. Right?

If it is not set with a seperate D channel on each T, the controlling circuit will take both T1's down if it ever has issues.
