Slow day at work

Has anyone else ran into this conflict.

When tryin gto access a MICS with 6.1 software using Norstar Remote Utilities 10.0

We get an error that follows. MAPFILE AOF01ENG is required.

This only happens when trying to use the restore and back up tool.

This is only happening with systems with 6.1 sw

I cant find anything relating to this problem on the Nortel Site.

Thoughts?

I had this prob once before on an earlier version of NRU. I uninstalled NRU, then went back and downloaded another copy from the website and it worked ok. Can't say why another copy worked, but it did!!!

Ya, each and every different software release has a map file associated with it. You can look in a directory called maps, under the location where you installed NRU on your PC. Usually under Program Files, then Nortel then ICSRT, then maps. You can manually add map files to this location without having to re-install NRU itself.

Wow, I haven't heen to this forum in ages. It has really changed. I still recognize the regulars on here.

Marvo, need a good phone labeller, moved a sys this weekend, added an 0x16 and 24 T7316's, 3 M7324's and 6 KLM's, a DID card and ckts. Now will have to relabel all sets. Busy today???

PS-Everybody missed the little Martian, where's Bug's when you need him?

PPS- Label stuff comes pretty easy, it's the font that get's me, can't seem to get it to fit when doing port and ext on bix labels using desi, takes a couple of tries!!!!

Ramjet, does that mean that I have to wait to get certified as a labeler before I get to use the Desktop Assistant software?
I hate scissors.

I too am seeing a problem like this however the MAP file is APF01ENG. I copied one of the other MAP files (dont remember name) and renamed it to APFO1ENG and the browser came up and read the data from the KSU. I tried to rename one of the CO lines and it told me it was an invalid name. I then tried to use OLP to read the KSU data into a spread sheet and got the error APF01ENG was not compatible with "Name-of-other-file". The other thing I noticed was the installer file is 18 months old which is a long time in hardware/software upgrade times. I'm suspecting Nortel has release a service upgrade to 6.1 which includes some new MAP files. If anyone has a copy of APF01ENG.MAP I could sure use it about now.

Thanks,

P.M.
