We had 6 analog (loop?) lines coming in that don't point to any particular number. I think those are mostly used for outgoing. Then I have 3 DID lines coming in. Our 800 line points to a DID extension 6444 (line??). I made a hunt group out of that extension and the next few (6445 and 6446) but that don't actually connect to a phone. But I was hoping that on one phone I can have all of these DID extensions listed. Then I would have 6444 hunt to 6445 hunt to 6446. I can only make one call in on the 800 line and then it rings busy. Any thoughts?

Thanks

hunt group not hunting

Ok, I can actually call the 800 # twice if the receptionist phone doesn't have other calls going.

Where are you pointing the numbers to - An application, a personal set?

I'd suggest (2) things either convert 6444 to an ACD with NCFW to your internal number/app

or

convert 6444 to a phantom with DFCW to your internal number/app.,

--------It doesn't really "point" at anything. Several phones have it listed as a number they can answer and it shows up fine there.

I'd suggest (2) things either convert 6444 to an ACD with NCFW to your internal number/app or convert 6444 to a phantom with DFCW to your internal number/app.,
--------You have really lost me. I'm a network admin that had this phone system dropped in my lap after the installer made a mess. I would need definitions for those acronyms, and more explaining.

Thanks
Beth

Beth -

Not sure how much programming knowledge you have - so I'll be as thorough as possible........

When a toll free number is created (say by Sprint) it's delivered to your switch with a (4) digit outpulse....

Example: 888-555-1234 could be delivered to my switch as 1234 or any (4) digits that I ask the carrier to deliver....
So it looks as though your toll free is being delivered as 6444 or it being converted in LD 49 (Incoming Digit Conversion) to 6444.

To verify
Quote:
Goto Ld 49
REQ prt
TYPE idc
CUST 0
DCNO try 0 first, then repeat and try 1.
If you see anything like this
Quote:
DCNO 1
IDGT CDGT
1000 6444 (you're looking for 6444)
then it's being converted,
if not, it's being delivered as 6444.

A quick way to test.......

Quote:
LD 49
REQ chg
TYPE idc
CUST 0
DCNO 1
IDGT 6444 xxxx

6444 enter your 4 digit switchroom maintenance set....
press return...
Now dial the toll free number.
Did your maintenance set ring?
If so - 6444 is the outpulsed digits for your toll free..

Now remove that programming

Quote:
LD 49
REQ chg
TYPE idc
CUST 0
DCNO 1
IDGT 6444 X (place an x to remove)
Once you determine the outpulse - you can create/modify the set.

LD 20
REQ: prt
TYPE: dnb
CUST 0
DN 6444
DATE (return)
PAGE (return)
DES (return)

You'll see a print out of DN 6444 and the Terminal Number(s) associated.

Quote:
DN 6444
CPND
NAME Show and Tell
XPLN 27
DISPLAY_FMT FIRST,LAST
TYPE 500
TN 060 1 10 13 MARP ........ DES 2501 ....... 30 NOV 2000
Next print out that TN
Quote:
Ld 20
REQ: prt
TYPE: tnb
TN 60 1 10 13 (type your TN here)
DATE (return)
PAGE (return)
DES (return)
You wish to have 6444 hunt to 6445 and 6446
Program
6444 on a key (say key 0)
6445 on the next key
6446 on the next key

Quote:
Example:
LD 20
REQ: new
TYPE: 2008
TN 4 1 2 9 (an available tn or existing tn, if existing use chg for REQ:)
DES st
CUST 0
FDN 7113 (forward no answer - if the set rings and no one answers)
TGAR 1
LDN
NCOS 0
RNPG
SSU
XLST
SCPW
SGRP
CLS cnda dna fna hta (forward no answer allowed and hunting allowed)
RCO
HUNT 000 (short hunt)
LHK 2 (hunt to the 2nd key)
SCI
PLEV
AST
IAPG
MLWU_LANG
DNDR
(program your keys)

KEY 0 scr 3444
MARP
CPND new
NAME toll free
XPLN
DISPLAY_FMT
VMB

KEY 1 scr 3445
MARP
CPND new
NAME toll free
XPLN
DISPLAY_FMT
VMB

KEY 2 scr 3446
MARP
CPND new
NAME toll free
XPLN
DISPLAY_FMT
VMB
KEY (return)
(return)
That's pretty much it - the above will allow the set to accept (3) calls and the 4th will hunt to the FDN setting.....

A BLONDE JOKE......

Am I lost, or are we not in the N* forum???

When you go to terminals and sets, line app, go to the target line you have appearing on the set in question. Show line --- then pres show again for the number of appearances for that line. Enter the number of app you want, and that's how many times that # will ring in befor getting a busy. If you have 3 did trunks on the system, then you can have 3 calls befor a busy. Ditch the hunt group unless you want the calls going to different sets. Try this and post back. Forget all the Merdian mumbo jumbo unless you have posted this in the wrong forum!!!

Ramjet, ok, did that. I will let you know what happens. I just got back from Phoenix, so it will take a bit to get myself back in order.

So, all the programming stuff is for Meridian. I was beginning to wonder what I was missing.

Thanks

Well, cancel this one out entirely. Initially the installer insisted that I could get 6-800calls at once, but that's not true. (3 DID lines = 3 calls.) So, I will be trying several different things, and you will see more questions later. Now that I think i understand DID lines somewhat, now I must tackle our analog line problems.
