Bcm Clid

I recently ordered calling name and ID for the phone lines connected to a BCM. Bell Canada has reported back to me that they have completed their programming changes. What do I have to do to the BCM before this information is displayed on the phone sets?

Under sets and line assignments, make sure the lines that appear & ring to the sets have CID set to yes. This on a per set and per line basis

All the sets do not have specific lines assigned, instead they are assigned to a line pool

How do the calls get answered. Firstly, a call on an analog line (at least in the US) has to ring twice. Caller ID data comes between the first and second ring. If the call is ringing twice, then answered by an operator, then transfered, the CLID should appear at the transfered to set. Is it possible for you to connect an analog phone with CLID capabilities to the lines in question to verify the CO is sending CLID?

I connected a phone to the trunk lines and was able to verify that the telco has properly configured the lines with CLID. I checked the line configuration and the number of rings is set to 3. Any other suggestions?
thanks

Seems like a malfunction. Do the lines in question ring at an operators position? Is the operator getting any CLID info? When the operator transfers a call (after they hang up or hit join), does the transfered to set get any info?

What happens when they hit Feature 811 while the line is ringing (before they answer the call)?

Do you have more than one CLID or GATM analog line module that you could swap out or swap lines on? Bad Module?

Is the no CLID happening on all lines or just one line? Test all.

I just tried it at our office (BCM) through the AA and the operator, and it just works.

Thanks for all the assisstance. The problem has been resolved. I was looking at the line configuration when I should have been looking at the auto attendant. I changed the number of rings from 1 to 2 and now it works fine. Thanks again.
