N* menu map

I'm a SL-1/Meridian/Succession guy that is now playing around with N*'s and am so confused I can not describe.

Does anyone have a menu map/tree they would be willing to share?

The idea of programming directly from a phone is really interesting, yet I'm lost when trying to get to where I need to be, to get the results I need.

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jack, I know how you feel. Even after a week in Richardson for Norstar school it was just working with the product that finally proved to be the way to go. Send me a PM with your email and I'll send you a Coordinators guide that will be useful. I've seen a map somewhere but I can'r remember where, and plus there is a hell of difference once you change from DR5 and MICS Rel 1 to the later releases.

You poor ole Meridian guys. My heart breaks for ya. N* is by far one of the easiest to program out there. It will basically walk you thru it. One thing to remember is that alot of the programming won't appear on the display unless it is pertinent to what your doing. Iv'e been doing N* since it came out in 88 You're damn right about the diff after rel 1 MICS. Although the newer vers are alot easier to find stuff in. You guys will be pros in no time. Just forget everything you know about Meridian cause it's a whole new ballgame with N*.
We are here to help if you get stumped!

PP,

Check your PM, thanks in advance!!

RJ,

That's the biggest hurdle, forgetting all the meridian stuff. I agree that the N*'s will walk you thru and are easily programmed its just the order of events & where options are that is soooo frustrating. No doubt they are sweet little phone systems with a ton of capabilities although working with the system via a telset vs a terminal is a definite learning experience.

Thanks!!!

Jack

Will most of your work be with analog line or PRI's and such. That to me is where you need to know some steps.

Both.

Systems range from smallish with analog only to multi cabinet with PRI's.

Any guidance especially with PRI's as far as errors, slips etc. would be EXTREMELLY helpful.

Working simply from the color of an LED on the card does not make me feel warm/nor fuzzy

Post when you need, will try to help. PRI is the way to go on the N*.
