Conference Call Problem

We have a 0x32 w/ 5.0 = 1 DTI (16 channel T-1) = 6 port combo = 3 station mods = 1 trunk mod. w/ (3) LSDS
phones are up, intercom calling works, LD on the T-1 works (inbound and outbound)
BUT cannot get dial tone from the copper lines.
verified fuses are good and dial tone is making it to the 66/trunk amphenol

moved LSDS to the 0x32 to eliminate trunk mod, tried new CLID in the main cabinet, still no dial tone from the copper lines getting to the sets

any ideas????????????

Conference Call Problem

Perhaps they are Ground Start instead of Loop Start.

comkey system

negative, can draw DT on a buttset at the 66 block.
They took a lightning hit Wed night.
Tried everything except replacing the KSU, even tried a new port on the combo card
We are replacing the KSU today, hopefully problem solved, hopefully.

Conference Call Problem

Double check programming. I had a lighting strike change programming of cards from LS/DS to DTI. HAd to disable in maintenance, reset system, and reinstall LS/DS cards. I also had to reprogram the lines into system.

Good Luck!!

Electronic Switched Network

RE_CAP

What we had has a blown up trunk (fiber) mod. Although we pulled the cards out of the trunk mod we still could not draw dial tone from an LSDS or CLID seated into the main cabinet. After unhooking the trunk mod from the expansion card the dial tone came back, replaced trunk mod and put all cards back, everything is fine.

so although we weren't using any slots in the trunk mod at the time of troubleshooting we could not get dial tone (out of the two slots in the MICS) until we disconnected the trunk mod.

Thanks All

BEB, thanks for the re-cap. That was an interesting problem that I have not seen.
