Rep Power: 0 ![]() | MICS transmit level is very quiet Hi everyone, wondering if anybody else has ever had this problem, and if so, any solutions would be appreciated. We have a client who has an MICS with 7.0 XC software on it, running all T series phones - T7316e and T7208. Since the day we installed it, the client has complained that anybody who they call, or anybody who calls them, says that they sound "quiet". I am at that site today (a day that they are closed), trying to troubleshoot it. The customer is a 6-hour drive from my office. Yes, no question, when I phone anybody, from any line... or when anybody phones here, on any line, they say that I sound quiet. I have done some test recordings to my own voice mail box at my own office, and played them back, and I sound very quiet. I have done the following things, to no avail: - switched KSUs - switched software cards - switched NVRAMs - switched CO line cards - connected some M series phones in place of the Ts, and made test calls Everything is the same, no matter what I do. Have been here now almost 4 hours and have not resolved the problem. Anybody every have a similar experience ? The next step is to call the Telco, and see if they can check their line quality or line DB settings... it seems very odd that every one of the 8 lines gets the same fault though, I could understand maybe one line being bad at the CO, but not all 8. I am really thinking it's a Norstar problem, not am at a loss for any further ideas. If anybody has any suggestions, please post, thanks. dave Dave Whitaker Senior Technician The Phone Authority Inc. Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Don't know if it will help, but in line settings, set the lines to "Long Co" and see if that helps. I have never had this trouble. How far is the switch from the CO, what kind of CO is it. __________________ Two snips, a snort, a turn, a fly, and a grunt, and it was so simple, like the jitterbug, it plum evaded me!

Location: Toronto Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Good Morning Dave, Two Questions. 1. Who is the line provider ? 2. How far are they from the CO ? I have had similar problems in the past here in Toronto and the GTA. I demanded that the telco bring in A2 loops rather than A1 loops if they are really far away from the CO. Cheers James
