Unhappy M8 Caller Id Unit

I'm looking for the docs or some info on the old M8 CLID unit. Cust has a DR5 system with 1 M8 unit on it. They are wanting to put CLID on a couple of other lines. I have never messed with it. It looks now as if it has 5 lines attached to it, so I take it that 3 more could be added. Any info is greatly app.

I could use some info on this too. I have an 8x24 DR5 and I am looking to install an M8 module.

Hilarious, I was just at a customer site yesterday and they were asking me about CLID on a 8x24. Those things just keep goin'. I have never seen a doc on them and they come up from time to time on this site. I have put a few in over the years, although it's been awhile. All I remember is, you hook it up to a station port, then bridge tap the lines between the 25 pair breakout cable on the M8 and the 8x24 KSU lines block. Was the programming tricky Ramjet ?

My main concern is, will an M8 work on my system?

Gophers, the programming is easy. What I did in this case was swap 3 lines from a 12X0, (lines 049-051) I think to lines 3,5,&7 and program the CLID for them. This was the local juvenile office, a part of the county, so saved the county some cash.

Finch, should work on yours if it is a DR5.

Ok, I have the M8 unit. Now I need to hook it up. Can anyone offer some assistance? Do I need any extra parts, wires, etc?
