Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Few questions regarding BCM50 and CallPilot Hi guys, Just signed up as you can see, as I have a few questions regarding the BCM50 system we have at work. I was asked by my boss to configure a menu system (you know the type... press 1 for sales, 2 for support) and answer phone for out of office hours. Having never used the BCM50 in this way before, I'm glad to say I figured it out in very quickly and have got the system working. I'm really rather pleased with myself. However, I have a few questions which I'm hoping you guys can help me with. Basically, the company has 3 sub-divisions, all manned by the same staff using the same telephone system. As there are only a few people working in the office, whichever option callers choose will be transferred to the same phones. Now, this is all well and good, but to add a bit of professionalism, my boss has asked me to get the phone display to show the option that the caller chose so that each call can be answered as if it were from each seperate company. Let me explain... caller chooses option 3 - Training. The phones flash up "Training" and the call is answered "Hello, Training Division, can I help you" instead of just "Hello" or the companies name, "Hello, company limited". I hope that makes sense. Is it possible to do that? I can't remember which phones we're using, but could find out if anyone requires that information. Another thing that I'd like to sort out is, when someone rings the number of the company, AA picks the call up and puts it through the menu system. Automated Attendant is set to pick the call up on 0 rings, but the phones ring for about 1/4 of a second everytime there's an incoming call. If possible, I'd like to eliminate this so that the calls go silently through to AA. I apologise that this is a bit long winded, but I hope it's easy for you guys to understand. I'd appreciate any help with this. Thanks.

When it rings any phone assigned to the hunt group it will ring on the hunt group key labeled training. There may be other options but I would try this. Have otion # 1 do an internal transfer to the hunt group DN you build. You can have multile people or just 1 person assigned to the hunt group. As for the 1/4 ring this is because the line is set to appear and ring on the set. If you deide to use hunt groups you can remove the line from the set. Bryan

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hi bberry, thanks very much for the reply. I've got 3 hunt groups set up and CallPilot Manager is set to transfer the call using a CCR Transfer Node. Both Route and Intercom transfer the call to the phones specified in HG 397 when pressing option one, yet the display on the phones still reads 'Line 135 Transfer' instead of the name of the hunt group. I've also tried setting the transfer up using a Park & Page but it still doesn't bring up the name of the hunt group. Any ideas?

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Thanks for the reply, but it doesn't seem to be working I called our number, pressed 2, but on the other phones, the light for Line 1 started flashing. I doubt that'd work for us, because the line indicator lights denote which lines are currently in use... so if lines 1 and 3 are in use and a caller presses option 1, what would happen? Is there no way to have the name of the HG show in the display. We have T2708 handsets. Thanks again, really appreciate the help.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Aha, found it. I just looked at the key assignments and sure enough, there are two heys assigned HG01:One and HG02:Two. I'm starting to understand this now I've been playing about with the line configuration in Element Manager, and when I set the DNs to Appr Only, they don't do the short ring before it goes to AA. I'm guessing this is what you meant above? Just want to check so that I don't do anything that could stop calls not getting through. edit... Got another question here On the Element Manager, in Telephony > Sets > Active Sets, the button programming table has been greyed out since I set up the hunt groups and the button config that was previously set to 'Transfer' and 'Speed Dial' have now been replaced with the buttons to correspond with the hunt groups. Is there anywhere that I can re-enable the button programming, as I would like to change things around a bit. Thanks. Last edited by agw_01; 01-04-2007 at 11:16 AM.

Press Feature *81 and press the hunt key then press the key where you want to move it to. When you assigned the set to the hunt groups it added the hunt keys and either moved or erased what you previously had on that button. I am guessing the reason they are greyed out is because you may not be allowed to move them.
