Location: Toronto, Ontario Rep Power: 2 ![]() | So, I have several customers that require 4.0 upgrades but my supplier is telling me that there are key code issues 1) when you upgrade from 3.6 or 3.7 (i know that the upgrade kit is different) the upgrade process is suposed to copy all current settings to 4.0. does this include the keycodes that are currently installed or do you have to regenerate the key codes for 4.0. 2) is it a smooth upgrade or are people having problems?\ please let me know as soon as possible. thanks ![]() | ||||||||

Location: London(ish) Rep Power: 4 ![]() | I would assume that the keycodes would have to be regenerated, otherwise there would be nothig stopping you installing any customer to release 4.0, without paying for the new software. As to the ease of upgrading. All the reports that I have seen state that it is a straightforward process from 3.6/3.7 to 4.0, Just a few hours of downtime. | ||||||||

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Like pdulfo says, you have to down the keycodes from Nortel. I tried to do an upgrade from 3.7 to 4.0 with the correct keycodes that were downloaded from Nortel and had unstable results. Tried 3 different times and each time there was a different result. So didn't continue with upgrade. | ||||||||
