Cool Remote Access

Have a remote access problem on BCM 400. Have assigned IP address I get remote access to BCM. Get to the Unified Manager page, can get access to get access to Call Pilot and other sections, but cannot get access to System Admin. & Mgmt. I get to login page put in User ID and password and displays login in progress, then after about 2 minutes it gives a message of connection failed: Failed to connect to server.

Have downloaded Unified Manager Java Class Toolkit for internet Explorer.

Question would it make a difference of which LAN you would use, because I am using Lan 2 for outside remote access and Lan 1 as my local access?

Have figured out the problem. To get access to the network, you need to have certain ports open. The IT guy is working to help me get access.

IT Tech set up a VPN connection (Virtual Private Network). It was done on Windows XL.
Went to control panel
-clicked on network connections
-on the left window clicked on create a new connection
-clicked on connect to network at my workplace
- then VPN connection
- I left company name blank
-VPN server this is where you put the IP address IT tech assigns
If you can get this to fly it works well
Have you downloaded the Patch from the toolkit?
