Location: Toronto, Ontario Rep Power: 3 ![]() | This is the second time I have had a customer complain about toll fraud on there system. The first was a BCM 3.6 with No patches after we patched it there was no problem. But more recently I had a 4.1 Nam with the same issue and cound not find any reason or method to fix it. I ended up replaceing the NAM with a Call Pilot and the calls have stoped. I just want to know if there was any way that I could have fixed the problem without changing the entire voicemail system

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Megahertz, As a matter of fact, I was looking for the NAM IPLite software, and was directed to this link on Nortel's web site: www130.nortelnetworks.com/go/main.jsp?cscat=SOFTWARE&resetFilter=1&poid=8993 I wasn't able to download the software, but on the page, there is a link to a 4.1 patch that deals specifically with toll fraud. Maybe this could have helped?? I guess I registered as the wrong type, because I can't download any software ... oh well. ![]()

They call in and then they program the MB to call a specific number. Then they call back and hit the feature to call that number. Sneaky bastards!

That option has been disabled in the class of service as well we checked all the mailboxes and non were setup for external transfer. This has happend to me before on the BCM and as far as I know there is a way to get dial tone from the voicemail and then the fraudster dials 0 and makes an operator assisted LD call. We even have LD codes from Bell but that does not stop the problem. As mrdom says there must be a patch for this specific problem.
