Unhappy Odd Vmail problem

I am having an issue with a MICS 4.0 and NAM 4.0:

Most phones are able to use F981 to get their voicemail, but a select few cannot. We had replaced all the programming from scratch, due to another issue and in the process downsized from a 6port fibre to a 2port fibre card.

There were some extensions that are in the 300 - 340 range (not all in use), and the VMail dn is 253, could this be a conflict?

We have done the following to try and fix this problem:
1) unplug the phone, and plug back in
2) copy the set from a known good set
3) disable and re-enable in maintenance.

Does anyone have any advice that they think might be helpful?

Thanks

Just curious - what happens when you dial the main VM DN manually on the problem sets (eg. the number that comes up in F985)? Do you get a busy signal?

Thanks for the reply.

Other than F915, none of the other features (980-98 work. When dialed, they simply hang the phone up for a minute, grabbing an Intercom in the process, then go back to the date and time.

I'm wondering if maybe you're using the lower range of feature codes? Try and do FEATURE + 9*1, and see if the NAM responds with the feature code sequences. What do those say?

Similar to what mrdom said, since it's a NAM, try pressing Feature 903 and see if it responds with F980-F989? If so, say OK.

But based on your initial question, that may not be it, because you said other phones COULD do F981, just not the phone(s) in question, right?

The first thing I would try is to power down and disconnect the NAM from the switch. Then use XFTEST to remove all the feature codes associated with the voicemail. Once that is done you can reconnect the NAM. This will not affect any of the programming on the NAM including Voicemail etc. but it will allow the nam to reregister itself with the system and recreate the nessissary feature codes.

This may be a stupid question but all the phones are connected to the same phone system?

Yeah that's is a dumb question.

Good luck

Yeah, this seemed to clear it, although rebooting it may have done this too?

Thanks for all input.
