Im adding a 3rd DTI card to a MICs 6.1 system - this will be connected to a T-1 to the c.o.. I can only make and receive a couple of calls at a time, the third call gets 1 way transmission - I can hear customer, they cant hear me. I am wondering if the problem could be that the c.o. and mics arent sync'd for timing.

Cd 1 on the Main unit is t-1 to another MICS - clock source is primary
Cd 2 on the Main unit is t-1 to another BCM - clock source is timing master
This has all been working fine for years

New T1 on Module 7, Card 1. - no clock source specified or requested.

Should I move this c.o. T-1 to the core unit and a tie T-1 to module 7? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Diane,

1st Make sure the T1 card is the only card in the 0X12 trunk module - just in case!

2nd We had this issue also. We had to change to the main T1 card to the latest release to make it work. Seems like back then, the T1 card has another version. If i am not mistaken, the new T1 card finish by AAAA.

T-1 card in Module 7 is the only card in the module. Card came new from Nortel - NT7B74AAAA. Or are you saying that the existing T-1 cards need to be latest version too?

Pierre, In your application, did any of the cards in the main unit connect to the central office too?

The way I read it, it sounds like you need the main T1 card to be new AAAA version.

All 3 t-1 cards are NT7B74AAAA. Im still thinking that one of the cards in the main unit has to go to the c.o. and this new 3rd T-1 can replace one of the tie T-1s. Any thoughts?

Yes put one of the ones in the main unit to the CO and make it the Primary clock source. Then make the one in the Trunk mod your point to point.
