ITG Question

I have a door phone on a CICS. I also have a cordless phone on the IATA. I want to be able to release the DOC from the the cordless when called from the doorphone.. Possible.. ??

The doorphone does call the cordless appropriately. I've tried every combination of 6 I can think of (the default number to release the DOC.) the other digital phones will activate the DOC correctly.

any ideas?

intermittenet silent channels on enet card

I have tried it both ways with no luck. The door phone is looking for a 6 by default to open the DOC. We should not have to activate a feature code....

seems like it should work...

how do you have the ATA settings set for your I-ATA?
Default device is Modem I believe. Try changing it to telephone. Oops, depends on which software version you have. My CICS 6.0 is completely different than my CICS 4.1 for options under TERMINALS AND SETS, then DN of I-ATA. You may need to tweak it in that area. I know for a fact that I have used a cordless set to control the DOC, but don't remember doing anything special. Was on a MICS, so was not an I-ATA that I used.

Door Phone question

Curly,
Good suggestion on long tones.

Chriscaton, long tones increase the chance that the KSU will correctly 'hear' the signal from the cordless.
