Unhappy Nortel VoIP Gateway problem

Greetings all!

I have 2 MICS' connected with Nortel VoIP Gateways - Had no trouble getting the gateways to talk - had some trouble getting them to pass digits the way I wanted - the systems can now do DN to DN (4 digit) dialing with the following caveat.... When dialing the DN the MICS routes the call to the GW, which gives me dialtone for about a second (normal).. I then have anywhere from 12 to 16 seconds of silence before the remote DN rings. Before I had the digit delivery tables setup correctly I would get dialtone from the remote MICS after about 6 seconds (which I understand is normal depending on network conditions - running over 1.5Mb MPLS). Once I got the DD table right, the time to call completion became much higher. Any ideas on what I may be doing wrong? I have heard that the GW will provide phantom ringing to the originating site (which would be acceptable) but can't crack the code on turing that on........ Thanks for any help
