I have recently purchased a sweet app (3rd party) that will allow you to have any extension forward to a cell phone, another extension (local or at a remote site) or any phone number you wish. I use it to merge all 54 cellphones with our BCM. The program lets you easily change between desired forwards, or to try them all. By purchasing an additional 32 cellphones, I was able to put all of them onto a corporate pooling plan with the carrier, so that any company cell can call any other company cell, and use no airtime. The 250 minutes of airtime per phone is then pooled for use by those that must travel and use airtime. Needless to say I added 32 phones and our invoice dropped by $15 per month. This program also has a built-in voicemail system with no limits on the number of mailboxes,(no more credits to buy) and can even e-mail your message in mp3 format (when my BlackBerry is upgraded to the pearl, I will be able to listen to the message) I'm new here, so I am not sure if I can post the name of the product or the company, but it has sure made a huge difference for us, and now the corporate IT department is coming to me for the latest technology (that's sure a switch I tell you) I would appreciate a mod or admin letting me know if I can post this or not. Location: Palm Beach aka Palmerston, Ontario Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Perhaps I should further explain that you can attach cells directly to the BCM so that when you dial an extension that is a cell, it will use the cell attached (instead of a land line) to call and use the company to company calling (no air time) The cells outside can call one of these cells and it is just like they picked up an extension at a desk, so if they are in a local calling area the call is absolutely free, and they can forward calls etc. It also then can use the land line for long distance calls (which, in Canada here, is cheaper than cell long distance) Hope that helps clear it up. | ||||||||
