Cool Call Transfer Problem

Hi,

We have a BCM 400 unit. On our main incoming line we have a hunt group that broadcasts the call to the two receptionists. If they are both busy then it overflows into another hunt group.

This overflow hunt group was changed on Friday (added / deleted members and changed from Linear to broadcast). Since then the members of the overflow group, cant forward any calls whether they are internal or those received on the overflow group.

If I try to reprogramme the handset (T270 by pressing Feature + 3 and then the transfer button, I get an error and it says Incoming Only.

Any ideas

Sounds like reason that they "can't transfer" is that, either by design or mistake (I vote mistake), the phones in question have been programmed with "Target lines". Target lines return an "Incoming only" Message when assigned to a phone and the button is pressed. Press "Feature * 0" and press the button in question. It will say something like "Line 247". To return the buttons to thier Transfer function, remove the line appearance in question, or change the target line to "Ring Only". Then you will have to reprogram the button as a Transfer key. You will need to determine if the Target line is supposed to be assigned to the phone, or if it was just a straight up mistake, in order to choose between Ring Only and "unassigning" the line(s).

PS the user can just press Feature 70 to transfer a call.
